Saylor Promises Funniest Crypto Meme Posters 1,000,000 SATs

Michael Saylor, the CEO of MicroStrategy Inc ., promised 1,000,000 SATs, equivalent to approximately $200.86, to the three best crypto meme posters.

Saylor took this vow yesterday in a poll by a crypto influencer, Eric Wall, where he asked the Bitcoin community if they think the CEO has made more than three lightning transactions in his life.

Contextually, lightning transactions are payment transfers on the Lightning Network (LN), a layer-2 solution built on top of Bitcoin (BTC), in response to scalability issues with its blockchain, such as speed and cost of transactions.

At the moment, 52.1% of respondents think the CEO has done more. While the poll was still live, Saylor replied that the correct answer was a yes. To give more credence to his words, he added that he “will make three more transactions of 1,000,000 SATs each to the three posters of the most liked lightning memes in the comments.”

Four days ago, Saylor’s Microstrategy (NASDAQ:MSTR) published a job listing on the web portal smartrecruiters.com for full-time employment as a Bitcoin Lightning Software Engineer, where the chosen individual will be in charge of creating a Lightning Network SaaS platform.

The Bitcoin lighting solution makes it possible for retail outlets to accept BTC as payment. Previously, crypto skeptics used the argument of low transaction speed to tease the Bitcoin community. Yesterday, Bitcoin Magazine posted a one-minute video on Twitter demonstrating how a customer at McDonald’s may pay for hamburgers using lightning transactions.
